In grade 8, chemistry focuses on helping students with their familiarization in the basics of science and how things work the way they do. Students learn about different properties in this unit for instances matters, elements, compounds, mixtures, solids and more than this which goes into detail further into each topic. Another thing they do is atomic theories and seeing reactions to different substances using experimentations with others to how two things can combine and make mixtures.

In the grades 9 and 10, chemistry continues to build off what was learnt in the previous year of grade 8 with slight changes and challenges. Students mainly learn about 3 big topics of the unit which are parts of the periodic table and each of their functions and elements, structures of atoms, and particles of the three stages solids, liquids, and gas that go through stages of melting, boiling, condensation. Moreover on the periodic table, students are taught on being familiarized with equations and formulas as it’s important to know for future when problem solving.

In grades 11 and 12, chemistry is a little more advanced that goes through precise details. Students explore more higher and advanced work with requirement in stronger problem solving skills like instances of atomic structure, bonds, reactions, states of matter, and goes on. Certain skills following up to these are needing to have strong understanding in the concepts taught and having specific technique for measuring

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, chemistry gives students benefits by slowly progressing in building off from each previous year with slight changes in challenges as students move up a grade. By grades 11 and 12, students will most likely be more educated and confident in the works of understanding science chemistry. In the end, chemistry is important as it plays a role in our education.

FUN FACT!

Ice melts faster when put on cold plate than warm plate because the ice absorbs thermal energy
