Curriculum
In the English Literature curriculum, it is all about focusing on different time periods of topics such as legelism or styles of writing. How we learn in the course is mostly through books, poems, videos or sometimes skits that focuses on the subject or what's being learnt.
From grades eight to twelve, the subject English and it's curriculum progressively gets more challenging each year for the reason being as people get mature, they go deeper into reading harder novels, learning to write stronger and longer paragraphs individually, understanding the key concepts of English (Literature) and start thinking about how authors use language, tone, and perspective. Plus projects, presentations, and creative writing is often used to show what has been learnt in different ways.
As we move from grades eight to twelve in the English Literature curriculum, the work generally slowly gets harder because we start focusing on different eras of stuff mostly from back then. Deeper concepts of topics for example, legalism or confucianism is what's being taught/learnt through reading texts, watching videos, and doing skits while also writing longer and improved paragraphs. In this course, it also pushes us to be independently creative by projects and infront of class presentations, and expressing our understanding in ways to keep improving every year as we mature.
