In Grade 8, students are introduced to the concepts of Science unit Biology that helps them understand our environment better alongside living organisms. The curriculum focuses on certain concepts of topics for example cells, plants, animals, our ecosystem, and the human body. Students usually learn about how different organisms function. In this grade of high school, the students prepare in advance for later years of learning Biology for more complexity, helping them build the courage and confidence to learn more.

CONCLUSION
Overall, the curriculum of Biology is designed to help students develop a strong understanding of scientific terms and how living organisms work in their systems, and our relationship with the environment. From all the grades, students progressively learn about biology, which is helpful in the future as it covers real life foods and medicines.
FUN FACT!
Humans share 60% of their DNA with bananas
-
Biology is the science of life inn which living organisms are the topics of what students learn in school.

-
In grade 8, biology demonstrates the basic topics of the functions of organisms and how they are useful in the world

-
In grade 9 and 10, biology covers cell structures, genes, photosynthesis, and reproduction of cells.

-
Lastly in grade 11 and 12, biology is studied as it is important to know about for post secondary

In Grades 9 and 10, biology is taught in a more advanced way than Grade 8. Biology in these years focus on life functions within the body. Students study cell structures, photosynthesis, genetics, cell reproduction and way more interesting topics. By studying more about these, it will help people especially understand how organisms function. As well as those topics, there is also laboratories used for students to help build development in critical thinking and problem solving skills. This curriculum overall gives anyone the knowledge of real world scenarios.

Lastly in the Grades of 11 and 12, biology is studied differently than other grades as it is designed to be advanced and complexed. Students explore topics of DNA and it’s replication, genes, and more details. The curriculum of these courses encourages experimentations, laboratories, research, presentations, and more ways to help students apply understanding of these scientific concepts. At this level, students are expected to be prepared for post secondary with tons of knowledge and functions while preparing for future potential careers and courses.
