Chemistry is known as a unit of the subject science in school for all grades that helps us with strengthening our development in our knowledge of core competencies including specific aspects of problem solving, using it in relation with our everyday lives, and mostly being familiar with new materials/substances. In grade 8 of high school, chemistry covers parts of properties of matter and reactions. For example, they talk about how matter is what takes up space which can either be in the state of being solid, liquid, or gas.

In the grades 9 and 10 of high school, chemistry continues to be a unit of science now covering parts similar to grade 8. They work on atoms and elements, properties, reactions, and mass, but something different is that the periodic table is focused on. Each of these topics are brought to introduction based on assignments and note taking, which leads to the point on continuing to build on these strong fundamentals and critical thinking of the core competencies.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, chemistry is an important subject because it helps students with advanced scientific details and helps students become familiar with how such things like elements from the periodic table work or how matter takes up space which can either be in states of solid, liquid, or gas.
FUN FACT!
The two non silver models part of the periodic table are gold and copper

•Chemistry helps students understand what science is all about
•In Grade 8, chemistry covers the basics on matters and reactions
•In Grade 9 and 10, students continue to focus learning more about the periodic table
•In Grades 11 and 12, chemistry is advanced as it helps prepare students for post secondary education.
•Overall, this unit builds critical thinking and helps students understand new materials for the real world.
In grades 11 and 12, chemistry is a little more advanced that goes through precise details. At this point, students are expected to be demonstrating understanding. These students will have opportunities to continue on chemistry as there are many potential careers to develop fluency in the future as it gains deeper understanding. Therefore with frequency in mastering the topics will lead to success.
