Curriculum

The curriculum of the subject Mathematics is designed to help students understand how many mathematical concepts combine with mathematical knowledge in curricular competencies. In Mathematic 8, you start by mainly putting focus on problem solving, reflection, and communication skills. You study number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability/statistics, and financial literacy in that course.

In grade 9, the curriculums for both Mathematics 9 and Workplace Mathematics 9 continue to consist on number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability and statistics, and financial literacy having a similarity from the earlier previous year of grade 8. Except with the Workplace Mathematics course, it's highly suggested for students who had difficulty for achieving a passing mark from last year to take the course. This is intended to help students graduate high school.

With the year following up to grade 10, students will normally be able to continue on their workplace course after completing the first one however if students show sufficient work within their understanding with assignments, tests, and work, then they'll possibly be recommended again by their teacher to move on and proceed to a regular mathematics class. Classes available to be taken in this year of grade 10 is Workplace 10 and Mathematics 10 Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus where they continue to work on the core curriculum.​
