In Grade 8, English Literature allows students to learn to read more careful and precise and to understand main concepts of times on textbooks. They practice while learning how the English language has influenced our society and culture. This level focuses on building the strengths of people helping them understand literature better and how it reflects the experiences of others

In Grades 9 and 10, English Literature is continued to be detailed while focusing on students goals and strengths of thinking and expressive skills. In these levels, students read more of an expanded range including poetry, fiction, non fiction, and even drama. Teachers are expected of students to strengthen specific goals in writing for students through the use of essays, paragraph writing and more.

In Grades 11 and 12English Literature focuses on viewing perspectives through others and themselves. Students study the cultures of other people, time periods throughout our society, and worldviews. These students are expected to be able to read precisely while thinking deeply and writing with clear grammar. With the course exploring areas of identity and culture, they learn how these can influence how our society is shaped overall.

CONCLUSION

Overall, English Literature is to help students build their skills in reading independently, writing, and thinking skills as they progressively move through each grade of high school. This level helps to be useful sometime outside of school as it can be used post secondary or anywhere else.
