The English curriculum of First Peoples is designed to mainly focus on perspectives specifically on Indigenous people with ways of learning about it. Speeches, poetry, presentations, and writing are the varieties of text used as supporting ideas from authors who experienced being First Peoples. The curriculum teaches students about how everything is passed down centuries and across generations. By studying these relations, it teaches us to be familiar with different cultures like that.

An important major focus on the English First Peoples curriculum is staying educated through relationships and staying respectful. Students in high school are encouraged to keep First Peoples in their mind as awareness by considering contexts of the text genres they read. The curriculum also promotes reflection and discussion with peers.

Through the subject's curriculum, students are also expected to develop and strengthen their personal skills as they use core competencies a lot like instances of reading, writing, and analyzing. As students are actively engaging in topics like this, students will have the confidence in knowing information.
