ENGLISH FIRST PEOPLE
English First Peoples is a course that centres the voices and concerns of Indigenous people and perspectives. It is designed to help students in high school understand the importance of what it is about when reading something or storytelling. Through this course, students are expected to learn new things from English First Peoples as it goes through topics of worldviews.

English First Peoples even focuses on traditions in perspectives while working on building critical thinking and knowledge. Students often use note taking, class discussion with peers, and watching videos as supporting evidence to help with their expression with writing or expressing their opinions. Courses like this are encouraged for students to learn about.

CONCLUSION
Overall, English First Peoples here at Palmer Secondary is provided as a meaningful way for students to have connections with and explore new experiences especially of Indigenous people. It is a way of sharing cultural awareness while students continue to build the knowledge for the topics/course.
