Why It's Studied

The subject Mathematics is studied because it's designed to help students have better understanding of the concepts and thinking skills from the course subjects. In Mathematics 8, you start by learning number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability/statistics, and financial literacy. Mostly with problem solving, reflection, and communication skills, and can get a benefit from this for within the future.

In Mathematics 9, they study this because it continues to develop the math concepts and thinking skills from the previous year of Mathematics 8. You learn about number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability/statistics, and financial literacy which consists of the core curriculum. A big part of this grade is understanding the concepts when analyzing and recognizing.

 

 

Grade 10 mathematics courses is where the work starts to build up in beginning of pre-calculus. These topics of computational fluency, geometry, measurement, data/graph analysis, probability, trigonometry, and financial literacy are studied because they can be put into use for stuff like entry for majority of trades and/or direct entry into a work force, which could be important for an impression on something for instance a career.

Lastly by grade 11 and 12, many courses are available to choose from involving lots of workplaces, foundations, and pre-calculus that are studied mainly because they could make a good impression for either future careers or for applications at a university or a college. Another point of why the subject courses of mathematics is studied is because some individuals do strongly well in this topic enough to graduate.

It helps to understand many different factors and to solve problems involving math, which is why the subject is always used to be studied both in school and out of school.
