Mathematics is a known subject in school starting at the age 4 which progressively stuck around till now that helps us with strengthening our development in our knowledge of curricular competencies including many aspects of problem solving, reflection, and communication skills. In the earlier high school grades of 8/9, the two courses Mathematics 8 and Mathematics 9, start with introductions to the subject by learning the basics which are number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability/statistics, and financial literacy. Mathematics is highly studied not just in school, but possibly anywhere, as it is importantly used in our everyday lives for the past, present, and future. A big part about this is seeing how essential it is to be used outside of school.

Shifting to grade 10, there are two options of courses with one of them being 'Workplace Mathematics 10' and the other being 'Mathematics 10 Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus'. In a brief summary of the two, they share a similar concept of providing students the skills of understanding and critical thinking which consists of financial literacy, data/graph analysis, and trigonometry. The differences between them are learning about slightly different topics. Workplace Mathematics 10 goes over computational fluency, geometry, measurement, and probability, while Mathematics 10 Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus goes over operations, algebra, arithmetic sequences, and linear functions.
When students reach grade 11 and 12, Mathematics gets to a level in our learning. Workplace Mathematics 11, Mathematics 11 Foundations, Mathematics 11 Pre-Calculus, and Mathematics 11 Enriched are all courses in this subject that grade 11 students can choose from among these options. They each share a challenge of their own where it requires personal skills. Next, grade 12s have just as much options of courses to choose from; Workplace Mathematics 12, Mathematics 12 Foundations, Mathematics 12 Pre-Calculus, and lastly Advanced Placement Calculus 12 which continues to help work on topics from previous years

Overall, the subject Mathematics doesn't only teach you how to effectively solve number problems, but how useful it is to be used anytime in life both in and outside of school.
